Practical Infection Control

Practical Infection Control

Course outline:

Infection control is a vitally important aspect of veterinary practice life, and this course will look at various elements of infection control – from basic hygiene to theatre practice. The flexibility of the course will also allow each candidate to address their own unique practice situation.

We will also look at the concept of infection control practitioners or groups, and how a dedicated 'Infection Control Champion' can can help to enhance the creation and implementation of SOPs, achieve team adherence, and enable monitoring of efficacy of the protocols.

From your study on the course, you will develop your own SOP in an area of your choice, to help make infection control work for you in your individual place of work.
