Course outline:
This course will look at simple diagnostic skills and microscopy, and will provide you with a foundation for dermatology diagnostics. It will assist you with becoming more confident on how to perform dermatology sampling and tests, the equipment to use and when to select which tests.
Your learning will also help to clarify the veterinary nurse's role in management of dermatology cases, and the selection and administration of therapies to help achieve case resolution.
We will also explore the logistics of setting up a Dermatology Nursing Clinic, including tackling any pitfalls which may arise. Through tutor guidance, peer support and shared experiences you will become more equipped to develop the clinic within your own practice environment and around your own clinic style.
